Colnago V3 Disc is a true racing frame, no compromises. Every detail has been studied and developed to obtain the maximum in terms of performance while keeping an eye to comfort.

GROUPSET AND WHEELSET

The proposed version mounts the complete 12-speed SRAM Rival eTap AXS groupset that guarantees a high level of performance and quality for the most demanding cyclists. The groupset is available with 10/26, 10/28 or 10/33 cassette combinations and 33/46, 35/48 o 37/50 chainring combinations.

Together with the groupset, the bicycle is proposed with the new Fulcrum Wind 40 DB carbon wheel set characterized by the aerodynamic unidirectional finish, new aluminum hubs, USB ceramic cone-cap system to optimize the performance. Perfectly compatible with clincher and tubeless tires.

 

When we developed the V3 we thought of all those cyclists who want to get the most out of their investment. Quality carbon and fittings designed to offer an excellent level of performance and contain costs make V3 a perfectly balanced bike from every point of view.

The Design

It blends technical solutions that aim at lightness with aerodynamic details. The line is clean and essential and it can be fitted with covers up to 28"". V3 is available in eight sizes and in a single version with disc brakes.

Geometry

What is the point of making a light bike if you can't ride it effectively? For this reason the geometry has been completely redesigned. The main features are the shorter head tube, the longer fork and a greater balance across all eight size options. The height of the bottom bracket has also been changed, it is lower, to improve the ride-ability of the bicycle with increased tyre widths (28c).

The Fork

Developed for maximum compatibility with disc brake systems. The new shape with concave sheaths in the upper part (front view) optimized the wheel passage allowing the use of wide tyres (28c), comfort and lateral rigidity.

Seatpost Closure

Much of the effort has been concentrated in this area of the frame, both to reduce the overall weight of the licking system and to increase its functionality, power and safety. The new locking system is therefore smaller if compared to that of the V2-R and the C64, integrated into the frame and allows a greater modulation in tightening.
